This Fitdesk vs Stamina Wirk comparison puts two of the top rated folding exercise bikes with desktop up against each other side by side so you can see how they measure up.
It will give you the information to answer the big questions of why there is a difference in price and if it is justified by the features and specifications.
They are both been rated positively by customers on the whole to give them the ability to exercise and work effectively at the same time.
There are some similarities such as both desks being large enough for a laptop but not a computer but there are a number of difference and these are what I’ll concentrate on in the post.
But before getting to that I’m going to go through a quick overview of both the bikes.
FitDesk FDX 2.0 Desk Exercise Bike
The bike is quiet and stable allowing you to get light to moderate exercise as you work. If you want to use the phone no one will hear you pedaling. It can also be used in an open plan office as it won’t disturb others from their work.
It can be adjusted to meet a range of heights between 4 ft 10 ins and 6ft 5 ins by adjusting the seat height. The desk height can’t be adjusted but it can be moved horizontally to get the best fit for you.
It’s not designed for high intense exercise but to help you to be more active at work rather than just sitting down all day and just typing etc.
Customers do like the feel and smoothness of the ride and that they can add activity to their life without having to set time aside for it – due to this it is a piece of equipment they actually use.
Stamina Wirk Ride Cycling Workstation
This folding exercise bike is also quiet, stable and provides a way to get low impact exercise while you work. It folds down too so it can be easily stored out of the way when not being used.
The seat and desk height is adjustable to accommodate a range of heights between 4ft 11 ins and 6ft 4 ins. The desk has five vertical positions to get it in the most comfortable position for working on your laptop.
It has a low step though that makes it easy for all to get on the bike whatever the height. If you get tired of sitting you can adjust the desktop quickly so you can stand and work.
Many do find the seat comfortable enough to be able to work and exercise for extended periods (but as with all bike seats it not everyone’s liking).
Overall customers like this way of combining exercise and work helping them to improve their general fitness.
The Facts On How They Are Different

The FitDesk FDX 2.0 desk is able to slide to the horizontal position you want but the angle is fixed. The Stamina Wirk can be placed in five different fixed positions going from horizontal to 20 degrees.

When a laptop is on the desktop for either bike there isn’t room for a mouse or keyboard
Accessories. The Stamina Wirk comes with a cup holder and a tablet support in the desk. The FitDesk FDX 2.0 has a small drawer under the desk for pens and other small items.

What About The Price?
When I checked the price difference it was small due.
Which Is The Right One For You?
If you are taller than 6 ft or below 5 ft 2 ins then the FitDesk FDX 2.0 makes a good choice as it is more likely to fit you.
I also think if you’ve the budget then the FitDesk FDX 2.0 makes a better long term choice with the way you can adjust the arm rest and the way the horizontal desk adjustment works seems to me to be a good way to get a good comfortable fit and there is less to go wrong. The company also says that their bike has been built to a higher stander than Stamina Wirk alhough that hasn’t come through in the reviews at present.
You can also if you want a wider desk area buy desk extenders to give more room on the desk.
